Morse Engineering was hired to design a septic system repair to this existing 5 bedroom dwelling. The site had many constraints including a high groundwater table (19” below grade), ledge outcrops, mature vegetation, extensive landscape and on-site wetland areas.
Morse carefully reviewed design alternatives and options with the Client and successfully permitted with the Board of Health, Conservation Commission and Mass. Dept. of Environmental Protection a new septic system consisting of a HOOT aerobic treatment tank, and pressure-dosed Geo-Flow drip disposal leaching system. This design was integrated into the existing topography and limited the “mounding effect” and area of disturbance that a conventional septic system would have created at this difficult site.
